ABOUT

Who We Are

We are a Christ centered, community focused, connection driven, non-denominational church located in Abingdon, Maryland. We believe that the Christian walk is better together. Through corporate worship and an emphasis on small groups, our desire is to create a culture of family between our members.

Our gatherings take place on Wednesday evenings, and while this may not be traditional, we are excited about the path that God is forging for this ministry. Wednesdays are the new Sunday!

Our Pastor

Pastor Michael first stepped into his calling as a pastoral intern at Rosedale Baptist Church. After graduating college with a degree in Biblical Studies, he was ordained on February 17, 2020. Michael’s calling to become a pastor came at the age of 13. Although he wrestled with God for a time, he could not deny God’s will for his life. He served as the Young Adult and Outreach Pastor at Rosedale Baptist, which has helped to prepare him for God’s next chapter in his journey.

His wife, Rebekah, also graduated from college with a degree in Biblical Studies and currently teaches middle school English at Rosedale Christian Academy. As the daughter of a Christian school administrator, she is accustomed to ministry life. She served faithfully with her family and now serves faithfully alongside her husband. Rebekah runs the children's ministry for Charm City Church.

Michael and Rebekah are no strangers to tragedy and adversity, therefore, they are also no strangers to the faithfulness and goodness of God. Together, they have a passion for learning God’s Word, loving people, and living in the freedom that is Christ.

When God Says "Go"

After a brief walk through the valley in the Fall of 2022, God brought Michael to the mountain top where He revealed His will for him to become bi-vocational and plant a church in Abingdon, Maryland. God’s timing and ours are rarely the same.

“Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus — the great Shepherd of the sheep  — through the blood of the everlasting covenant, equip you with everything good to do his will, working in us what is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭CSB‬‬
